How much does a CCTV camera cost in India?

How many CCTV cameras do I need?
Think about places, not camera count. A 2BHK flat may need the entry door and parking. An independent house may need the main gate, front side, back side and staircase. A small shop often needs the entrance, cash counter and inside area. A godown usually needs the gate, loading area and inside corners.

What is included in the price?
A complete CCTV quote should include cameras, recorder, hard disk, power supply, cable, connectors and labour. Many low quotes show only the camera price and add wiring or installation later. This calculator counts those common missing items so the estimate is closer to the real job.
DVR or NVR — which one do I need?
A DVR records standard wired camera systems. An NVR records network camera systems. Most homes and small shops are fine with a DVR. Larger setups, higher clarity and some mobile-viewing setups may need an NVR. You do not need to choose this yourself. Our calculator picks this for you automatically.
2MP or 5MP — which camera should I choose?
Choose basic clarity if you only need to see movement, visitors and vehicles. Choose higher clarity if you need to recognise faces or read number plates. Shops, gates, parking areas and godowns usually benefit from higher clarity.
